I actually do have a second tourney idea, but it's 4 brackets off 16 competitors each in different classes. Petite Girls (5'4" and below), Girls of a little higher than average height (5'5"-5'6"), Tall with a thin build and tall with a more substantial build.

Hmm? I?ve heard and read many things about Beyonce, but ?tall?, ?thin? and ?ballerina build? have never been among them. Also, I don?t think there?s anything average about Halle Berry. Or Jessica Alba. Or? Well, you get the point.

Anyway, I like your idea about the tournament (what?s not to like?), ?cept that I personally would prefer if there were no different categories. One reason is that I think it?d be more fun if there were some fights between women of different build. Besides, I?ve never put much stock in size alone. Panettiere may be a little thing, but she?s a solid little thing and I?d back her against the likes of Jolie any day. Even if she doesn?t win (and she would too!), like I said ? fun. But, it?s your tourney, so it?s you call. In any case, I?m looking forward to it.

And as for the matches in the original thread? I don?t normally do this, but if I was writing ?em:

Jessica Alba ? Morena Baccarin:

Jessica would outlast and outmaneuver Morena and end a close one with a Head-Scissors. Or a Camel Clutch. Or a Facesit. Reverse. Or a Surfboard. Or whatever. What I?m tryin? to say is that I?ll take Alba any day of the year (and you can read that whichever way you want.)

Lexa Doig ? Eliza Dushku:

Not enough data. Dushku, I suppose. Or at least I hope. Mainly because I consider ?Lexa? to be a monumentally stupid way to abbreviate ?Alexandra? and anyone who does it, or agrees to it, deserves a healthy beating (whatever that is).


Summer Glau ? Anne Hathaway:

Hathaway might or might not try to make a fight out of it. Either way, she?d get whupped.


Christina Hendricks ? Scarlett Johansson:

An even fight. A good one too! It wouldn?t be easy, but Scarlett would prevail. I think the finishing move should be fairly obvious. A Gorilla Press! OK, OK! Breast-Smother it is. A human one. Female. Jeez!


Chiaki Kuriyama ? Grace Park:

10 years age difference here, but it won?t help Chiaki as Grace would slowly and methodically take the younger woman apart. Kuriyama would fight right to the end, which would come with her flat on her back, getting? a faceful of Park?s ass.


Freida Pinto ? Natalie Portman:

Another close one. I?d go with Portman, just to be contrary. I?m guessing everyone else (obviously except Ginny) would probably be in Pinto?s camp, so there! Something delightfully simple, like a Schoolgirl Pin.


Michelle Rodriguez ? Zoe Saldana:

This one is perhaps the wildest of the bunch. Ultimately, Zoe tames Michelle. A Body Scissors/Choke combo would wring the fight of a spent and panicky Rodriguez and force a submission from her. Plenty of back-and-forth action before that, though.
